Dear Friends,

I hope you had a Romantic Valentine's Day - even if you were alone. Believe me, when I was alone, I practiced Romance until Mr. Romantic showed up! This morning - Valentine's Day - Mr. Romantic made me his specialty breakfast of Cinnamon, Apple, Banana Pancakes, a fried egg, turkey sausages and warmed maple syrup, garnished with slices of fresh strawberry and banana. That was after receiving a beautiful bouquet of Roses and Lilies.  Does it get any better than that?  Yes!  It keeps getting better and better.

Feature Article - Who's Whispering In Your Ear?

Lately I've been quite a fan of The Dog Whisperer. It's a TV program on the National Geographic channel. I can't seem to get enough of this wonderful man, Cesar Millan and his masterful way with dogs and their owners. He says "I rehabilitate dogs and train people." Funny, don't you think, that many of us need 'training'? Well, I can speak for myself and plainly declare that I ongoingly desire training. And shall I more accurately say re-training. I want to think better feeling thoughts. I want to continue to feel better, better and better. As I do re-train my thinking, I consistently have more desirable outcomes. But I want to feel good, because feeling good is the reward. There's no place I need to get to, no rush to have something else, no goal I need to attain. Feeling good is the place I want to get. From there, anything is possible.

As many spiritual principles and physical disciplines will acknowledge, the primary requirement is the willingness to think, do or be another way. The willingness to explore a more efficient, empowered, and life enhancing way of being. So I train my mind to remember that I am utterly loved and lovable, that I'm worthy and capable of anything I desire. And so is everyone else. Everyone!

Everything is Energy

What I like so much about the Dog Whisperer is that Cesar understands the important aspect of dogs and their owners. That all important aspect is energy. Cesar knows how to read energy and therefore knows when a dog is about to 'act out' aggressively, or is happy and fulfilled in his dog-nature. He can tell the energy of the human dog owner, too. He instructs the owner about their own body language and tension and sees how easily the owner projects their feelings and insecurities onto the dog. Doesn't that sound a little like what we do?

I love it that Cesar Millan is teaching the broader TV viewing audience about energy and relationships. It's so natural. It's so obvious as you watch the miraculous turnarounds in dysfunctional pets (owners, actually) -- in a matter of minutes.

Last night the Dog Whisperer's parting comments were ... "When we visualize the results we want that is what we will get." Imagine that!

• I'm working on a new collaboration...

A few years ago I read a wonderful book entitled "Riding Between the Worlds" by Linda Kohanov. This book explores the relationship between horses and people with the emphasis on people finding their authentic selves and healing from dysfunctional pasts. I was taken by an almost mystical quality of the author's understanding of horses and people. That was before I understood more deeply about all of our interconnectedness, with people, animals, nature, all aspects of the seen and unseen.

So you can imagine my surprise and delight when after a talk I was giving on the Law of Attraction and Relationships a woman came up to me and told me what kind of work she does. My new friend, Schelli Whitehouse, coaches individuals and groups in Professional Equine Assisted Coaching Experience (PEACE). That may sound like a mouthful and perhaps even peculiar to you. I had my first experience a couple days ago and I can tell you it's really very practical and telling. A short article will hardly give you the depth of my experience. Suffice it to say, that I'm so excited about the possibilities that Schelli and I are teaming up to do a Two Day Workshop on the material in my best selling book, Create the Love of Your Dreams, and Schelli's work, The Way of the Horse. That probably won't be the name of the workshop. But we DO have the dates. May 16 and 17th in Raleigh, North Carolina. And the price is AFFORDABLE.
