Celebrating Love and Partnership – 3 Amazing Years!!!

Last Tuesday was my 3 year wedding anniversary. Unless you’ve known the dramas and traumas of my own relationship history you can’t possibly know how wondrously amazing that is. Many of you know that I was called to write the book “Create the Love of Your Dreams” based on my own relationship breakthrough. I did the work, intensifying my understanding of the Law of Attraction and transformational tools and put to bed an ancient story I had about why I always attracted emotionally unavailable men.Today life looks completely unrecognizable to what it did even 4 years ago. I guess looking back it seems like I’ve been living life in the fast lane. And some times it feels that way.

The funny thing is, I had some clue as to what might be available to me in partnership. But, all that has become available to me as a result of breaking through a barrier to love and opening my heart to sharing and intimacy is hard to quantify. I’m telling you all this because I want you to know that there’s so much more in partnership than in a life run as a solo act. And it all keeps growing because of my practice of Appreciation.

The Powerful Practice of Appreciation

Think about appreciation as the opposite of depreciation. Like what happens when money rises or declines its value. What you place your attention on and appreciate, because of the Universal Law of Attraction, will expand!

Love and appreciation are identical vibrations. Appreciation is the vibration of alignment with who-you-are. Appreciation is the absence of everything that feels bad and the presence of everything that feels good. When you focus upon what you want – when you tell the story of how you want your life to be – you will come closer and closer to the vicinity of appreciation, and when you reach it, it will pull you toward all things that you consider to be good in a very powerful way.

Appreciation is such a powerful tool. If you don’t already have this practice in place, by all means start immediately. And stand back, because I promise you amazing things will result. Try it at work, try it on traffic, try it on your food, try it on EVERYTHING! Think of all that is working in your life. Think of all the great blessings that you experience daily; running water, lights when it’s dark, cool air when it’s hot, all the luxuries of modern life.

Appreciation may not always be the response you reach for first, but if you practice it, it will become part of who you are. It will become a part of your dominant vibration. In the vibration of appreciation there’s nothing you don’t have access to, as so aptly stated in Abraham’s previous quote.

I have to continue to remind myself to reach for appreciation. I’m learning to pivot from less than empowering beliefs about myself, the world and others. The key is to not make so much of however you’re being. And go a bit easier on yourself.

This life is supposed to be an enjoyable journey not a string arduous life lessons back to back. The fact is, we are genius creators. So appreciation ALWAYS starts with you. Go ahead – go look in the mirror right now and tell yourself how much you love and appreciate yourself. As a matter of fact, I’ll take my own advice. Off to the mirror I go!

Thoughts Really Do Become Things

Years ago, when I’d get an undesired or unpleasant thought, I’d quickly say “cancel-cancel” in an attempt to push that thought away. Or I would paste affirmations over my negative feelings or thoughts.

You can say affirmations until the cows come home, and it won’t make a difference if the thought doesn’t match up with a feeling. When spoken without an emotion-centered conviction, affirmations are just words.

You must access how it will feel when Mr. or Ms. Scrumptious shows up. How will it feel when s/he comes up and puts her/his arms around you?

Furthermore, saying affirmations such as: “I am now ready for my soulmate to show up,” or “I am grateful for the love of my life, right now,” and so on, if said with the undercurrent emotions of “Oh yeah, when will that be?” or “I hope this is going to work,” or “Gosh I’ve been at it for 3 weeks now, where is he?” simply projects back to the Universe “s/he’s not here, not here, not here. . .” and just like the genie in The Secret, “your wish is my command,” and so it is. . . “S/He’s not here!”

We are talking about the relationship of your dreams not just another form of what you have already had. So you really need to clean up your thoughts and feelings around this topic.
